22 January 2007
A night of Electro Acoustic Structured Improvisation
Set 1:
Shackle:
Anne La Berge - flutes and electronics Robert van Heumen - laptop
Shackle's aim is to explicity and subtly exploit shackling in both concept and material.
Set 2:
Dirk Bruinsma - saxophones Tao G. Vrhovec Sambolec - laptop
The first concert of a collaboration that started in late 2006. The music is based on improvisation and live sound processing. While Dirk Bruinsma plays baritone saxophone, utilizing extended techniques and extreme amplification, Tao samples everything Dirk plays, processes it, and immediately throws folded sounds back to Dirk. The sounds created could be described as moving in-between gestures and textures with some rhythmical concerns.
This concert was made possible in association with STEIM
