Listen to this is a new concert series in Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ with support from local concert organizers. This is the first event in the series. Throughout the evening several performances will take place including Ensemble Klang performing works by Tom Johnson, Matthew Wright and Peter Adriaanz in the main concert hall.
DNK's own Martijn Tellinga will premiere a new work entitled _Site, branching into others, the piece will be performed by the nine players of Ensemble Modelo62. Becoming a kind of sound sculpture, spread throughout the public space of the Muziekgebouw, the players cannot always see but must be able to hear one another. In what Tellinga calls an "instrumental field piece" the separated performers read from the same graphic score but interpret the score personally.
